Dashboard Update

I had recently been toying with the idea of updating the dashboards I had in A6 travellers Notebook that I use as a combination of wallet and on the go planner but I couldn't decide what I wanted to use. Because of its smaller size it can sometimes be hard to find things that fit without losing half the graphic.

But then Veronica from Glimps stamps shared her new digital paper pack to our Dt page and I fell in love. It was bright and zingy and perfect for these long cold and uninspiring winter months. It was the fresh pick me up my planner and I needed and the best bitbeing digital meant I could have it straight away, no waiting months for it to get here and then being already in the mood for something else.

After downloading, thank goodness for modern technology and instant gratification it brings, I printed the patterns I liked in a variety of sizes and then trimmed them all to the 4 inch by 5.5 inch I needed to fit into my dashboard keepers.

Now came the fun part. Decorating the dashboards. I knew I wanted them to be clean and simple but still decorative enough to make them fun and a joy to look at. I also wanted to build on the clean tropical feel that the papers had so I added a few tropical inspired stickers and washi tape and then went to town with the quotes and inspirational words.

I love that no matter where I open my planner to now I am going to be greeted with a fresh uplifting and inspiring vision which is exactly what I will need to get through winter and it's blah weather.

It has finally cooled off!!

Autumn has finally hit here in Queensland Australia and with it some cooler weather thankfully.
With the cooler weather I find myself looking for more autumn toned colours and images and this reminded me of this great foxy girl that Glimps Stamps released last year and when I needed an image for a sketch challenge I knew she would be perfect.

If you love her as much as me be sure to pop over to the website and check her out here

Isn't she just the sweetest Autumn image?? Want to see her coloured up? Here she is....

With just a few tonal papers and a lovely little sentiment she has turned into a simple but stylish card that could be used for any occasion  during the cooler months.

Until next time I hope that you are staying safe and enjoying the beautiful weather  be it the cooler Autumn like me or some other season

Happy Easter

With Easter only a few days away I thought it was the perfect time for a cute bunny card and what better cute bunny than this one from Glimps stamps

rabbit-tail

I have coloured this sweet image with my copics and then fussy cut her to help make her pop from the layers beneath her.

With just a few cute flowers, straws and a paper doily this image becomes a sweet Easter card perfect for any generation.

Until next time
Stay safe and happy crafting

I Believe

After a few massively busy weeks it was nice to take some down time to relax and colour recently,  and what better image to start with than a cute girl and her magic unicorn.

Bright and happy colours are one of my favourite to colour but there are very few images that really suit so much colour in one go.
Luckily for me this gorgeous Glimps image is one of the few and I got to have some serious rainbow fun....

Be sure to pop over and check this cutie out in store by heading here

Because she is such a colourful image I didn't want to go to colourful with my card so I just added a couple of stripes of a pretty floral paper and mounted a box with some black and white twine wrapped around it to keep things nice and simple. To this i mounted the fussy cut image with some mounting squares to give it a nice 3D look.

I hope you love how this image and card have come out as much as I do and that it makes you smile with all its rainbow goodness.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
and
WELCOME TO 2020!

After a few weeks off over the Christmas and January period I am back and feeling more creative than ever. Who else finds that a break away can get the creative juices up and running again?
And what better way to start off than with a cute little angel card that could be used for either a Christmas card (because honestly it is never too early to get started on them) or as a gorgeous new baby or baby shower card. And what better image angel image to use than this sweet little one from Glimps Stamps

I have kept my card sweet and simple, with just some simple layering of papers and a paper doily, then added some flowers to coordinate, while leaving a space that I will be able to add a sentiment to when needed. Because of this the sweet little image really pops of the card with its pretty green dress (allowing it to be unisex in the event of a baby).

Hope you like how it has turned out and that your new year has started off creatively.

Merry Christmas

With the year flying past so fast it is not hard to see how Christmas has once again crept up on us and with it all the stress and organising that needs to be done. So with that in mind I am using my last inspiration post of 2019 to set myself up for a better year next year.

Christmas time can be an expensive time of year and due to this I try to preplan and prebuy some of the gifts needed, cards to make etc but with that comes the task of remembering what I have done or brought. So with this in mind I have made myself a pocket cover to go in my planner.

Then was the task of amazing up the cover. I didn't want it too Christmasy because I have to carry it all year long but still to have a festive touch. So when looking for the perfect image I couldn't go past the 3 wise men from Glimps. Even though not overly religious I love the true story of Christmas and thought these three men with their gifts perfectly represented what I was wanting.

Be sure to check them out here

And here is an inside view of the folder with the pockets ready for receipts, wish lists etc. I also have the option of adding an insert to the string which I will do as the year progresses

I now can't wait for next year to start my planning in this gorgeous little folder and hopefully next year will be way more organised and on track. LOL probably not though.

Until next year all the beat for the silly season and Merry Christmas
