Merry Christmas

With the year flying past so fast it is not hard to see how Christmas has once again crept up on us and with it all the stress and organising that needs to be done. So with that in mind I am using my last inspiration post of 2019 to set myself up for a better year next year.

Christmas time can be an expensive time of year and due to this I try to preplan and prebuy some of the gifts needed, cards to make etc but with that comes the task of remembering what I have done or brought. So with this in mind I have made myself a pocket cover to go in my planner.

Then was the task of amazing up the cover. I didn't want it too Christmasy because I have to carry it all year long but still to have a festive touch. So when looking for the perfect image I couldn't go past the 3 wise men from Glimps. Even though not overly religious I love the true story of Christmas and thought these three men with their gifts perfectly represented what I was wanting.

Be sure to check them out here

And here is an inside view of the folder with the pockets ready for receipts, wish lists etc. I also have the option of adding an insert to the string which I will do as the year progresses

I now can't wait for next year to start my planning in this gorgeous little folder and hopefully next year will be way more organised and on track. LOL probably not though.

Until next year all the beat for the silly season and Merry Christmas

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween to all my friends who celebrate this holiday and to help you celebrate here is a spooky pumpkin friend to give you a scare!!!

When I found out I had the inspiration post for Halloween day for the lovely Glimps stamps I knew exactly which image I wanted to share with you. Introducing "Pumpkin"

Love him as much as I did?? You can pick him up here

As soon as I had him printed I knew I wanted to make him a spooky scary pumpkin so i went to town with my markers and tried to make that pumpkin face as scary as possible by adding as much colour and shadows as possible.....

Then I matted him onto some white cardstock to make pop and finished it off with a few pumpkin stickers and spider web diecuts.

And even though here in Australia I don't celebrate Halloween this has become one of my favourite cards I have ever made.
Hope you love this pumpkin man as much as I did and may your Halloween be spooky and scary!

We are what we Believe we are.....

What do you believe you are??

When I saw the quote...

We are what we Believe we are

I knew it would be perfect to pair with this superhero image from Glimps stamps and couldn't wait to get them together. Next was what to do with them???

I knew I wanted it to be something in my planner that I would look at everyday so that it could ninspire me to be as great as I could be and so I thought what better than a page marker. I have always wanted to try one of these washi page markers but never had enough matching washi tapes but when I heard my favourite washi store was shutting its bricks and mortor store to go online and selling a lot of its washi at almost half price I knew it was the perfect time to get the washi I needed.

First off I made the washi background but then when I went to add the image I realised it was too small oops.....
But even a mistake can be turned into a positive with a little thinking and I used the too small boards to make a pen holder...

Then it was onto making a bigger page marker that would suit the image better....

And the back with some notepaper because who doesn't need more notepaper

I love how they have come out and can't wait to add them to my planner. Hope you love them too and don't forget to pop over to the Glimps store and check out all the amazing images over there.

Summertime has hit!!!

Even though it meant to be spring here in Australia it feels like summer has hit and so that means summer images. When searching for an image to use for my current inspiration post for Glimps stamps I couldn't go past this cute little girl with her huge ice cream. I mean who doesn't love a good double decker cone when it warms up.

This card very nearly didn't come off after a marker globbed all over my image halfway through colouring but with a little luck and perseverance I managed to rescue it and love how it has turned out.

Guess this shows that you should never bin an image until you have tried everything to fix it.

Anyway I hope you love my fix and the image as well which you can pick up over at the Glimps store ... www.glimps.it

Until next time

I belive in Unicorns

I believe in Unicorns..... Don't you?

Who wouldn't believe if they were all as cute as this little guy from Glimps Stamps. Can I take him home as a pet? Well to me the next best thing is to carry him everyday with me in my planner so to remind me to have some fun and smile...

And here it is on my insert dashoard. I am loving how my planner is giving me a creative outlet that also has a practical and productive use as well. Though it is very easy to sit and create with all the lovely images and stickers and not get anything else done. Oops.... but who could resist with this colourful little guy.

Be sure to pop over to the Glimps store here and check out him and all his buddies in the fantasy section and in the meantime I will go and check what chores are next on the to do list.
Oooh stickers.......
Only kidding....

Planning Time with Glimps

Today I am sharing something a little different with my inspiration for the amazing Glimps images....

Next weeks spread in my planner, I have been a planner for a while but recently I decided that I needed something a bit different as my spreads just weren't doing what I needed them to do and so with that in my I have been experimenting with using my coloured images within my spreads and for next week I decided to use this amazing little artist with her dripping paint.

I felt this image really summed up what next week is going to be all about for me as I need to get myself ahead with my dt work before the madness that is May descends here.

So with all this in mind I chose a bright rainbow feel and positive vibes to go with this little artist for what I am hoping will be a very creative week.....

And finally a closeup of that amazing image...…

I have really enjoyed using this image in my planner and think that I may have found a setup that I really enjoy and will help to keep me productive so keep an eye out for more great images....

Glimps Update

Today I am popping in to share some inspiration with one of the very first Glimps images I ever got to work with and I have to say it is still one of the sweetest images there is....

Just as I joined the Glimps Team Veronica drew and made this gorgeous set of mystical cuties and I got to colour a few for there release but busy as I have been I never worked out a project for them and I thought it was high time that I changed that.....

First up is this cute little troll girl (get her here)

I have made her into a bookmark because I realised that while I have made bookmarks for both my girls I have never got around to making myself one and this year I am trying to read more..

I have also made a card with another of the cute images that came out at the same time.... this gorgeous little leaf baby (get it here)...

When a friend said today that she needed a card and gift for a new baby I new straight away that I could help with the card and when looking for the perfect image for a cute little girl I knew this nut baby was going to be perfect and off to a new home it will be going....

Here's to hoping your new year has been a good start.
Cheers
