Little Miss Muffet Sketch Challenge

So while looking around today I came across the Little Miss Muffet Facebook page and in turn their challenge blog page which had their current challenge on which was a sketch challenge. Having never competed in a sketch challenge I was intrigued and then more I read on the more interested I became.

So I thought why not I can do that and so I did.....

I have had this image coloured for a while but could never come up with a card I liked for her but this sketch was perfect and I am really liking how she come out..

It is really amazing what a few layers of paper and a simple fibre can do but they have made this lovely little girl into something quite beautiful.....

I am definitely going to be visiting the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog again, why not pop over yourself http://littlemissmuffetchallenges.blogspot.com.au/search/label/Challenges.

Thanks for the visit....

Things with Wings

As luck would have it I went to check on the closing time for the challenge 52 - Things with
Wings over on the Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog this morning because I thought I still had a week till entries closed but in fact it was only just over a day.....oops.

As I already had my image finished it was just a quick decision on what to do with her. I had chosen and coloured Misty Dragonfly Enchantress.

I then trimmed her down a little (with that hair I didn't want to try and cut her out) and mounted her behind a domed out piece of card that I cut an oval aperture into. Here is a view from the bottom of the card looking up...

Then I added a few embellishments to finish her off, I would have loved to add a border of glitter around the aperture opening but don't have a glue pen to do a line to stick it too ( think this might have to be my next investment).

The finished product.......

Now I am off to enter her before I run out of time...LOL...Thanks for visiting.

Hang onto your Hats

Well the hang onto your hats challenge over at Simply Betty is almost due to close so a quick post to show off my challenge entries (as I am currently away on holidays)

First up Victorian Hat Betty - Here we had to colour her hair none traditional and add a feather somewhere.

Then we have Classy Miss Cynthia - Where we had to use 2 papers and put a flower on her hat.

And finally we have Little Victorian Rio - Who needed a border punch or die and some polka dots.

Thanks for the visit....

Competition Time

Ok so life has been really busy lately with getting one little girl ready and settled into Kindy but I absolutely had to enter the challenge over at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog especially after doing so well last month, Top 3 Woohooo.........

This month I used "Victoria Lacy Sunshine Pinup Girl" as my image

I have coloured "Victoria" with copic markers and I have chosen a purple colour theme as something a little different to the pink or red valentine combinations. I have trimmed her as close as possible because the card base has a shimmer to it.

I have then added 2 purple hearts and a flowery heart stick on that I found in the bottom of the embellishment box (gotta get lucky sometimes - it fits exactly with what I was wanting). I have also added some purple flowers that luck would have it are almost the same purple as the dress.

I have then finish with 3 pieces of white paper I have inked up green and violet ink and then written on a quote by Franklin P Jones that reads "Love doesn't make the world go round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile."

So pop on over to the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog  http://lacysunshinechallengeblog.blogspot.com.au/  and check out all the amazing entries and best of luck to all entered.
