Add 2 Desginer Papers

This weeks challenge is up at the Come and Get It Challenge Blog and this week we are after entries with 2 designer papers.

This week polkadoodles is kindly sponsoring us and as I already have a love of their gorgeous images my hardest thing was picking just 1 of their images for this challenge...

I have chosen the sweet little Winnie Sharing is Caring which you can get here or as part of the bundle like I did here

I have paired her with some paper from a Kaisercraft 6x6 pad I had (not sure which one now it was an older one) and some sweet and simple roses. I have matted each layer with white to make the layers pop and inked all the edges with brown distress ink.

Hope you like her and make sure to pop over to the Come and Get It Challenge Blog and add an entry

Miss Minnesota

Hi popping in today with a card I have made using the adorable Miss Minnesota from Simply B Stamps.

I have coloured her with my copics in a monochrome blue scheme which has given her a really wintery feel and finished her of with some sparkly lace border sticker and blue snowflake paper.

This just goes to show that even though these images are based on the state in the US they can still be used for other occasions.. this one will go as a Christmas card this year..

Thanks for looking

TEXAS!!

Sharing a card today I have made with the super amazing Texas State Girl from Simply B Stamps.....

I have had this one coloured for a while but when Betty said she wanted some inspiration with her 50 State Girls I knew straight away I wanted to get her onto a card.

With just a few brown and blue accents I have turned her into the perfect card for someone who isn't into the florally pastel cards and I really enjoyed doing something a bit simpler and laid back with this one, I think it really makes the image just pop out.

Anyway till next time happy crafting....

Get Creative Challenge #60 - CAS

A new challenge is over at the Get Creative Challenge Blog and the theme this month is CAS, or Clean and Simple for those not in the know....

The idea behind a CAS card is that the image is the center of attention and the focus of the card with very few embellishments.. this challenge I got to play with the very cool pirate ship from Drawn by Krista... and I have made a cute little boy card by adding a sentiment that came with a pirate image I already owned by Simply B Stamps..

Then I added a couple of bits of washi tape with a zig zag pattern and viola a CAS card.

I know a lot of people get scared of CAS cards but why not give it a go and come join us  over on the challenge..

Till then Happy crafting...

Summer Fun!!!

So some exciting news from me today - I am now part of the Design Team for Simply Create Too Challenge Blog which you can find here so be sure to pop over and check out their new challenge which started today. And what a great challenge it is "SUMMER FUN". It was great to play with some summer images because even though it doesn't get really cold here in winter it is still cool enough for me....

Anyway onto the challenge and my inspiration for them.
First up an amazing image from Paper Nest Dolls called Sunshine Ellie. This little cutie just scream summer with her sweet little sun balloon. And I made her even more summery with her bright yellows and sunkissed hair.

Next up I have an amazing image from Simply B Stamps called All American Abby.

Since I am not an American I coloured her in pinks and purples and just made her into a pretty summery card and finished her off with some sunray paper and pretty flowers. Being so hot here in Australia this is what summer is about cossies and bbq's so I thought she fit right in with the Summer Fun theme.

So hope you have all liked and enjoyed my inspiration for this months challenge at Simply Create Too and hope to see you there with an entry...

Till next time happy crafting!!

Today I have made this little cutie using Some Odd Girl image coffee lover mae. I have had this one coloured for a little while and just didnt know what to do with her until inspiration struck today.

I love how she has turned out with her little blingy dots and after much searching I found the perfect sentiment to do with her - Savor the moment. That is definately me in the morning. I love my morning coffee!!

I am entering this into the anything goes challenge on the Some Odd Girl blog here, unfortunately I didnt know about the optional twist before I started but oh well.

Happy crafting or colouring or both

Me me me

Betty from Simply Betty Stamps has created an image of all her DT Gals and let us get creative with the image of ourselves so this post is all about what I have done with me!!! LOL

When I saw the sediment to go with this image I knew what I was going to do straight away

"Add some color to your day!" was perfect to decorate an area in my copic storage box that hubby built for me

This was also the perfect opportunity to try something a little different and add a funky spotty background which I love.

And even though the box still needs a little finishing off, everytime I open my box to colour now I cant help but smile and think colourfully.

Hope this has made you think colourfully as well and happy crafting
